My family has lived in SW Washington for several generations. I attended Ridgefield schools until the 10th grade when my family moved to Woodland. I was able to attend Clark County Skills Center for the last two years of school taking business, banking and customer service classes while working and applying what I was learning.
My husband and I where privileged to do full time volunteer work for several years even moving to Long Beach Washington for a time. We have been back in the area since 1999. After many years working for other businesses and enjoying helping people, my husband and I decided it was time to follow a long held goal of mine, becoming a massage therapist. My first massage was an anniversary gift. It was so amazing to see how someone could provide so much relief and ease pain through massage. I was fascinated and have used massage as a main part of my health care ever since.
I attended East-West College of the Healing Arts in Portland Or. I choose East-West because they go so far above and beyond the required state curriculum. East West College is one of only a few massage programs on the West Coast recognized by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation, The program provides a good balance of science and technical information as well as being client centered. Along with the science classes, anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, I trained in Crainosacral 1 and 2, Deep tissue, Trigger Point and Thai massage. I enjoy using all the forms of massage to customize the plan of treatment for each client.
To now have a business in my home town is exciting. I look forward to seeing you soon.
